Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information GiftDraw processes and the choices available to you.

1. Exchange data

GiftDraw stores the exchange title, optional date, budget label and note, participant display names, exclusions, generated assignments, reveal status, timestamps, and access data needed to operate the draw. It does not require participant email addresses or accounts.

2. Private access links

Private capabilities remain in URL fragments and are sent to the API only when required. The server stores cryptographic hashes and protected derivation data rather than raw capability values. Treat complete links as credentials.

3. Technical data

The service processes ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, correlation identifiers, and security or error logs to operate, protect, rate-limit, and diagnose the service.

4. Optional analytics

Google Analytics loads only after consent on public marketing pages. Private organizer and participant routes, names, titles, notes, links, locators, exclusions, and assignments are not sent. Rejecting analytics does not prevent use of GiftDraw.

5. Sharing and retention

The organizer can recover participant share links and reveal progress. Each participant capability exposes only that participant’s result. Data may be retained while an exchange is useful and for a reasonable operational period afterward.
